Why oh WHY are there no spaces? In the Compose box--this is all nicely bulleted out...now it's all combined...ugh. anyway, here ya go:
Age: 4 months
Weight: Just under 16lbs. Whoa babes!
Diapers: Size 2
Clothes: All size 6 month. Or 6-9 months. Again, this babe is LONG! Ok, fine, and a little chunky :)
Hair: still brown and still losing her newborn hair-but it's funny in some pictures it looks auburn!
Eyes: pretty blue like her dad. I adore her eyes!
Swaddle: Would you believe it!? NO MORE SWADDLE!!!!!!! However, we are crazy, and were taken over by the billion dollar baby industry......we bought the Baby Merlin Sleep Suit. and I die. It's so freakin hilarious and cute I can't stand it. She is my sumo baby. I feel I need a whole post dedicated to this "apparatus". She sleep so well. Coincidence? MAYBE--but it still helps her startle reflex and seems to keep her snuggly and content. http://www.magicsleepsuit.com/
Sleep: See above. Usually she is asleep by 9ish--and sleeps until 7ish Woohoo! (However, I did experience my first and hopefully LAST clogged milk duct. Wow. that was so painful! and due to the fact that she was sleeping so long. After just a few days I think my body has adjusted!)
Smiles: All the time-such a goofball--however, please note how UNIMPRESSED she is with all the pix I insist on taking...she's soooo over it! :)
Laughs: Dang it! She is gonna make us work for that first laugh! She smiles soooooo hard and exhales really loud but no laugh. It's coming!!!!
Coos: Her favorite thing is blowing bubbles and raspberries. She is most talkative with Daddy right after bathtime while getting ready for bed. She will "talk" to him for a while and kick around. It's so sweet.
Nursing: Very good (minus the clogged duct) we are pretty consistent at 6 times a day.
Tummy Time: Great. Very content on her belly. Able to roll over onto her back (not often though) and just last night rolled from back to belly!\
Favorite Toys: Yellow Dog with the crinkly belly AND the pink bunny her Auntie Stefi got her for easter. This bunny gets her complete attention-so funny! It sings and lights up and moves around! Also, do her hands count? She loves suckin on her hand or fist.
*As the months go on, we fall more and more in love with this little girl. She is so much fun and I can't wait for my Kansas family to meet her!!!! Less than three weeks!!!!

And Fussiness?Sweet Vivian reached a milestone yesterday! And I may have cried! Just kidding, but I was very excited for her as she figured out how to roll over! WOOHOO!! Its so amazing that this week LAST YEAR i found out I was pregnant. Now this year we're celebrating milestones. So amazing. This past weekend she was super fussy--wanted to be held and walked around, only played for a few minutes at a time. She did not have a fever, but she wasn't napping well so I figured she was overtired. I texted my mom and sees for advice (thank GOD for unlimited Text!) My mom suggested she may be upon a milestone and SURE ENOUGH, I would consider rolling over a major milestone! She has only rolled from tummy to back, but she is able to repeat it over and over. Gah I love these moments!!! Night before last Vivi also woke up so much I lost count....but then last night slept 9 straight hours (and my boobs about exploded...tmi? sorry) Go figure, babies keep ya on your toes! We celebrated the wonderful night sleep by going on a hour long walk in the BEAUTIFUL weather! I even got a little sunburned! So that's it for now! I'm booking our trip to Kansas today! Woohoo, Five weeks til I meet my nieces!!!!!

Little one was 15 weeks yesterday. I am almost finished with the main portion of her baby book. I printed a ton of pix off of shutterfly and have had lots of fun putting it together. I have my babybook and it's been fun to look back at it and compare Vivi's milestones with mine. I hope one day she will enjoy looking back on hers! :)
I have a feeling April will be a big month for her. She is rolling side to side, and with a little help rolled from tummy to back...so I'm assuming the full rollover (back to front and back) will be coming anytime now. Although this milestone is looming, we have no plans to stop swaddling for naps/bedtime. She has such a strong reflex that she whaps herself in the face...infact two nights in a row I had a lovely 3am wakeup call due to ms. houdini! :) So, doubleswaddle is in affect!
Another milestone I am dying to hear is LAUGHING!!!!!!!! I cannot wait to hear her little laugh. She making sweet little noices and will mimic the motorboat sound which is hilarious...but the laugh, I'm so excited for that! :)
We had a checkup yesterday and she is a biggg girl! She is 95th% for Height and 85th% for weight! It's funny, I didn't have too much discomfort (other than the norm) while pregnant and carrying extra weight, but when I hold her (14#) oh man my midback kills me! I need to work on keeping my shoulderblades down and back otherwise I'm sore everyday! Other note on weight, I am down 30# in 15 weeks! Which really blows my mind to be honest. With PCOS going into pregnancy (and the additional weight I gained prior...possibly due to the clomid) I feared I would pack on the pounds. Then, after Vivi I assumed I would have a hard time dropping the weight, because--sheesh---losing weight was NEVER easy for me. But here I am, under my prepregnancy weight, and having done nothing but a random strength training 1-2X a week and walking MAYBE 3-4 times a week. I eat as much as is neccessary to keep my milk supply and energy levels up. I feel GREAT! I guess once again I am just amazed by the human body! Pretty fantastic!
Alright, next week I'll post the day in the life of a 16 week old (not to be confused with A 4 month old...she's not 4 months until April 19th, if you wanna get technical! :) )
Oh, LASTLY!!! My nieces: THE TWINS!!! RUBY AND MADY!! LOVE THEM cannot wait to meet them soon!!!!

"This MAY not work for you because EVERY BABY IS DIFFERENT: But Good luck!"
:) I say that in jest, but REALLY!!!!!! I have gotten great tidbits from every baby book I own, BUT I have not followed any one to a T. I hope all moms give themselves some slack because honestly, what works one day may not work the other. What works for child #1 may be different for child #2. This all seems so obvious outside looking in--but when you're in the thick of it (and sleep deprived) it doesn't! Basically, I have the utmost respect for mothers. Period.
Ok, now back to the topic at hand---Ready for some rambling?!?!
My friend Ashley and I were talking about Sleep. Who knew the topic of sleep could be so important...oh so very very very important! :) Anyway, she was asking more about the EAS routine/schedule. It's been a little over a week since we've tried implementing it and I am very impressed. I said in my last post that I was mistaking her fatigue for hunger. After about 75-90 mins of being awake and playing *this INCLUDES nursing time* she starts to fuss and turn her head away. Well, up until now, I would feed her again. Because nursing made the fussing stop, right?! It did, but then I was WONDERING why we were nursing every 2 hours when "the books" say it should be closer to 3 hour. Well, low and behold, three hours is just about EXACTLY how long we go now, because of EAS. I also find she eats so much more efficently. Her nursing sessions are about 15 mins. during the day (longer @ night) when they used to be like 25 mins. because she would just take her time.
Another thing I have found with Vivian is that there is a correlation between her wake time and how long it takes to put her down. For instance, if she is up a little over an hour, she is very easy to put down...if she's up for 2 hours or so, it takes 15 mins. to get her down...now if she's up 4+ hours, look out you're in for the long run....I'm not joking, poor babe, if we miss her signs or are out and about (and she only gets a catnap) she takes a long time to settle down due to overtiredness....So basically we're still learning. Everyday is a little different and I truly appreciate the ability to be home with her and find what works for us!
Here are some pix from when my mom (vivian's MIMI) was here-(The one with her Dad shows how LONG she is! and the 2nd one is with her namesake Yiayia Vivian) As much as I LOVE LOVE LOVEEEEE visits from my family, it's always bittersweet because I think of how AWESOME it would be if we got to see them everyday....maybe someday?!?
WE MADE IT THROUGH! There is such an learning curve during those first three months-God bless every parent-as it is a very trying (albeit AMAZING) time. We have learned so much about this little girl. She is amazing!!! It's crazy, in the previous post I talked about changing her activity and eating schedule---The biggest thing I've discovered is that I have mistaken some of her fatigue cues as hunger cues! She is adapting very well to the new E.A.S. schedule--bless her heart it's gotta be a big switch to fall asleep for naps and bedtime without nursing beforehand (which is what we had done).
Here are some stats and pix:
Age: 3 months
Weight: 14# exactly what i weighed as a 3 month old! crazy!
Diapers: Size 2 (kept blowing out her 1's)
Clothes: some 6 month sleepers! this girl is LONG! the 3 month clothing is too short-she can't even straighten her legs
Hair: still brown, but she is just now starting to lose her newborn hair. I'm thinking it will be light brown.
Eyes: pretty blue like her dad.
Swaddle: yes. everytime. her startle reflex is still super strong. I've tried naps without it, but she wakes herself in just minutes.
Sleep: Well, we were going pretty well from 11p-7a, but between trying to get her to sleep earlier (8ish?) and not nursing to sleep, so we've had some 3am and 4am wakeups. this is trial and error... and makes me realllly miss those solid 8 hours! :)
Smiles: All the time-such a goofball!
Laughs: No real ones yet, but I cannot WAIT!
Coos: Sort of, but nothing consistent yet.
Nursing: Very good! 6 7 or 8 times a day
Tummy Time: Seems to enjoy it very much so. And she just LOVES her new playmat, she kicks and bats at the hanging animals-it's hilarious!
(before baby) I would have thought EAS meant EAS Nutrition protein supplements. :) Now, EAS stands for Eat, Activiy, Sleep (usually paired with Y- for you time) Anyway, the last couple of days, we have been trying this with miss V (12 week old, by the way!) Up until now, we have had success with Eating, Sleeping, Activity, BUT I really want to get to a place where she doesn't need to nurse to sleep. I wouldn't change anything we have done the last three months. She has been a great sleeper, we have had AMAZING bonding, she has been worn just about everyday (which I will continue) but I really want her to have the ability and skill to fall asleep by herself. I think as parents, the absolute best gift you can give your child (besides of course unconditional love) is HEALTHY SLEEP PATTERNS!!!! There is so much research about the fact that a baby's brain develops so much during sleeptime. So, without getting on a soapbox, I will report that we are doing ok with the new schedule! Now, when she wakes up, we feed right away, then play, then put her back down to sleep. Rinse lather and repeat. The cycle can be 2.5-3.5 hours long. I don't expect our schedule to be without a few hiccups! But, so far so good!
My mom (Vivi's Mimi) is coming this Friday!!!!!!!!!! Oh we are so excited to have her! She will be here until Wednesday, so hopefully the weather will warm up so we can get out and about for some nice walks or even a hike!? I ordered a new baby carrier, the ErgoBaby Sport. I have been borrowing a baby bjorn, which is wonderful and super easy to put on, but little one is almost 14lbs. and that's a little much. I can handle it for about half an hour before my mid back starts screaming! The ErgoBaby (hence the name) is designed for longer duration of holding baby. Most of the weight is distributed to the hips instead of the shoulders/midback. I'm super excited! Def. not the cheapest invention, but we will use it a ton! I'll update you once we get a hang of it!
Also, an update on the carseat, go figure--just a phase! The last few outings she has been happy as a clam! Little bugger! :)
Alright, naptime is almost over-gotta run! I still have a few topics I want to blog about, but sometimes I don't get a chance to let my thoughts blend into comprehensive blogposts! And honestly, if there are typos, I apologize! Does mommybrain ever subside??!! :)
Here are a few pix:VIvi practicing the bumbo. And, blitz' version of a treadmill workout! :)
Gene turned 33 and we had a party at his folks house. As everyone with children knows, you really work off the wee-one's schedule for the first few months. BUT, we mananged to arrive on time! And Vivi ate on schedule and was happy as she was passed around from Yiayia, papou and great yiayia.
Lately, she is having a little aversion to her carseat...I adjusted the straps each time so it doesn't dig into her shoulders; I make sure her diaper is fresh; Also, she doesn't take a paci, so it's hard to soothe her if she's crying (usually she only cries if she hungry or dirty and those are two quick/easy fixes). So, any ideas? I even had her in the carseat to go for a walk in her stroller...she was just NOT having it...in fact we turned around, came home and strapped on the Baby Bjorn...We need to start loving the carseat again...here's to positive thinking! :)
I can't say it enough, Vivi is just a little sweetpea. I'll do another "DAY IN THE LIFE" of a 12 week old next week. Here are a couple pix of Our Little One (except the last one, that's baby EM! I think I was 5 months?)
I looked to see when I blogged last and it was a while ago! I have two posts I need to finish about random postpartum and new mommy thoughts. So hopefully by this weekend I'll have them up.
Until then, here's my favorite picture from Vivi's 2 month lil photoshoot. She is doing so well--I weighed her this morning and she was 13.2# at 2.5 months (**10 weeks--we hit double digits!**) Girl loves to eat! :)
Once again I find myself wondering how my baby girl is almost 2 months (sunday!) We have had some excellent days and excellent stretches of sleep! Here is a glimpse:
______________________________________
1115P: I feed Vivi one last time. I swaddle her before we nurse so I don't have to wake her up. She still sleeps in her bassinet in our room. Put her to bed at 1130p.
.......................................
705A: Vivi starts to stir. I get up and nurse R15mins. and change a poopy diaper. Nurse L12mins. Put her back in her bassinet.
945A: Change wet diaper. Nurse R10 and she falls asleep again. (**This is a change for me to get breakfast/shower and possibly get ready, depending on whether we have plans to leave during the day.)
11A: Change wet diaper.
1115A: Come downstairs. Put Vivi on her playmat while I eat. I put some laundry in.
1145A: Tummytime
12P: Nurse L15. Rock and burp-catnap on my chest.
1P: Change wet diaper. Playtime on the mat while I run back and forth to finish laundry. Snack on protein bar (homemade--Gluten free and soy free!)
145P: Load up Vivi in the baby bjorn. Vacuum and dust whole house and gather the trash. (**If chores don't need to be done, I would run errands or we'd leash up the westies and head outside.)
245P: V fell asleep half way through chores. Feed her R10. Change dirty diaper and feed R5.
315P: A little bit more tummytime. Talk and sing-V falls sleep @ 350p. I eat leftovers for a snack. Gene gets home @ 415p, gets a quick workout in. (**Thank Goodness for a home gym!)
450P: Nurse L22. Then it's Daddy time! (**This is MY TIME: I either shower, nap or workout!)
615P: Dirty diaper. Play in rocker. Fall asleep on Daddy until 650p. Bathtime when she wakes up from her catnap.
7P: Nurse R18. Change wet diaper. Play on mat. Sit on Dad's lap-kick and coo.
825P: Vivi sleeps in newborn napper while Gene & I watch TV and relax.
9P: Nurse R18. Change dirty diaper. Nurse L10. Head upstairs. V hangs in the swing while I get ready for bed.
1030P: Change wet diaper. Swaddle and nurse L20. Rock and put her in her bassinet with the rain on full blast (sound maker--best invention!)
1115P: We go to bed--hoping for a full night sleep!

RINSE AND REPEAT! :)
**I think this was a 2 or 3 outfit day....I tell ya, even if a diaper is on snug, leaks happen! :)Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-535950025829158855.post-8940081245617624452012-02-16T18:32:00.000-08:002012-02-16T18:32:34.415-08:00Pix!Today I have been tracking our day so tomorrow I will recap the day in a life of a 8 week old. Everyday with an infant is different, but it's fun to take a glimpse and it will be fun to look back at some day!
I'm happy to report I am super sore from my workout on Tuesday. I worked hamstrings and triceps and did cardio on the stepper and the minitramp. It felt great! Tomorrow and Saturday should be good days to get a couple more workouts in! And hopefully if the weather is nice we can walk the westies this weekend!
Here are some pix of the lil goober from the last few days. She is such a hoot! :)
What are those? Gosh, I have had every intention of getting in my workouts since I was released @ my 6 week postpartum appt.......however......does carrying around a 12lbs baby count? Because that's the extent of my workouts!!! :)
Once again, this week FLEW by. I have no idea where the time goes. And I only have one baby! Vivian will be 8 weeks on monday and since we are a great routine going, I am going to plan on getting in three workouts. I say great routine, but of course, everyday is a little different, but certainly predictable! Vivi had a great week. She is such a sweetie pie! She's smiling a lot now and more alert throughout the day. I am going to do a "Day in the Life of an 8 week old." Last night she slept for 6.5 hours, fed, then slept for another 3 hours. Glorious doesn't even describe how good that felt! :) It's funny, when she was first born, even though I was utterly exhausted-I had a sort of mommy insomnia-where I was SOOOO so tired, but couldn't fall asleep because I was thinking about her, and wanted to be there right when she needed me. NOW, I'm not nearly exhausted and fall sleep immedietly. Thank Goodness for that! Here are some pix from recently. SHe has already changed so much from her pix 3 weeks ago...:( I also took a belly shot of me at 7 weeks postpartum. I will do a body after baby post sometime soon too, especially since I have every intention of getting some workouts in finally! :)oh, and a pic of the westies sunning out back.
I completely understand different events, growthspurts, etc. will affect our schedule; and it's likely as soon as I post this it will change! :)
345a. Vivian is up after going to bed around 11pm. She doesn't cry but starts to stir and makes grunting noices. I unswaddle her, feed her on the R side for 14 min. Change her wet daiper, reswaddle, then feed her on the L side for 11 mins. Burp & Snug for a few mins. (I play on my kindle fire while she's falling asleep-and I chug water & eat almonds + luna bar. I drink SOO much water to keep up with my breastfeeding-kid you not about 1.5 gallons a day). Back to bed.
7am-She will fall in and out of sleep until I get her. I unswaddle her and she ate on the R side for 12 min. Get up and change a wet diaper. Reswaddle and nurse L side for about 10 mins. I give her a manicure while she's eating :)
Back to bed one more time...
910a: (it's usually closer to 10/1015a) Baby stirs because she had a poopy diaper-a Blow out! Sponge bath and outfit change were necessary.
930a: Viv hangs in her crib with her musical mobile while I mix a quick smoothie for breakfast.
1015a: Time to feed again. R side for 17 mins. Burp and catnap while I watch TV. She wakes up and nurse L side for 20 mins. Change a poopy diaper.
1120a: Play time! We lay a blanket out on nursery floor and turn on some music. She lays on her back and we play with toys and stretch her out. Then we do some tummytime. Vivi is getting very good at holding her head up!
1145a: Crib time again so I can change clothes. Head to the kitchen where Vivi hangs out on the newborn napper on the kitchen table while I make myself lunch and prepare dinner. On the menu is BBQ marinated chicken and sweet potatoes. It's all ready to go in the oven at 615p.
1230p: We play some pattycake before I load her up in her carseat so we can go run some errands. We head to the post office, starbucks and the bank. She falls asleep in the carseat.
130p: Home and it's time to chow! R side for 25 mins. Change a wet/slightly poopy diaper, then nurse L side for 10 mins. Rock and snuggle. Catnap for Vivi.
245p. She starts to root around at so I feed her on the R side for a couple minute and she falls back asleep. I take a nap myself from 245-335p. Get up and change poopy diaper.
345p: Bring V down to kitchen to hang in the Boppy newborn napper so I can eat again.
410p: Playtime! We turn on the Hit List on comcast TV and dance around and bounce on the fitness ball. Tummytime on my lap while singing and waiting for Dad to get home.
430p: Gene gets home and hangs with V for about 10 mins.
445p: Time for her to eat again! She nurses on the R side for 20 mins & L side for 10 mins. then we rock and burp. Catnap on my chest while Dad works out.
530p: After Dad is done-he takes Vivi after we change a poopy diaper. Then I put the dinner in the over and get in a nice hot shower. Vivi and Dad play.
7p: Dinner for V. Nurse on the R side for 16 mins and the L side for 15 mins. Hand her off to Dad while I eat. They bounce on the fitness ball to get out any bubbles or gas.
745p: Change a poopy diaper and rock Vivi to sleep.
1015p: Last feed, change and snuggle for the day...HOPEFULLY sleep until 3ish.
This past thursday was Vivian's 1 month birthday. It was probably the most challenging and rewarding month of my life! She is such a sweet little baby. Our days are still a blur, I'm lucky if I can guess what day it is--every one is a new surprise!
Here are some notes from her first month:
*Her face has gone from a swollen newborn to a beautiful olive skinned 1 month old.
*I swear we got our first smiles! And not just "gas" smile! Talk about melt your heart!! I can't wait for laughs!
*She really seems to enjoy bathtime...she's so calm during it!
*I look forward to our nursing sessions and I feel blessed I'm able to provide nutrition for her...That being said: she can go from 0-100 when she's hungry. I call it HANGRY! She roots and snorts around for the food!
*She LOVES bouncing on the fitness ball! I sat on the ball a lot during PG. It soothes her almost instantly!
*she loves looking at the lamp and lights
*She's found her tongue and sticks it in and out.
*I think our record for diapers is 3 or 4 in about 30 minutes...go girl. pretty sure daddy was on duty for that episode! HA!
*she likes when dad shakes her rattle
*I tell her she's Healthy, Happy, Strong & Smart about 20x a day. And that I love her. Lord knows I love her to death!
*she loves her zebra and monkey mobile in her crib
*She loves animal print clothes just like mommy :)
*We have taken more pictures on both of our cellphones and cameras then I've ever taken before.
*Today we had pictures at Sears which went relatively good after a few fussy moments!

I survived the first month. We survive the first month! She has exceeded my expectations about life as a momma. She eats well, sleeps well, hold her head up like a champ...she certainly has her moments in fussiness, but nothing a clean diaper, feeding, snugging, or bouncing on the fitness ball can't cure....Also want to note that I did my first weights workout in MONTHS! I lifted triceps and chest and good heavens am I sore!!! I am still waiting until my 6 week appt. to get fully released, but it did feel good to do something!
Thursday December 15th:
My last offical appointment. One day shy of my offical due date. No real progress. About 2 centimeters, about 50-60% effacement....Dr. suggested stripping my membranes and I agreed...not the most comfortable, but if it enabled me to go into labor by myself, I wanted to try it. Our next move was scheduling an appoint for Monday Dec. 19th to strip them again if neccesary. Last ditch effort would be scheduling an induction for Thurs. Dec. 22nd. Which was the LAST thing I was hoping for. I really really wanted to go into labor on my own!!!
Sunday December 18th:
I had contractions (contrx) all night. Enough to wake me up and make me notice, but not enough to make me start timing them. It was finally a pain different from the braxton hicks...which is what everyone said: you will KNOW real contrx pains!!! Hubs and I woke up and did some cardio in schwetty's. I only did about 20 min. walking on the treadmill. I was continually losing my "plug" and felt like I had to pee ALL the time. Got a lot done that day--did laundry, walked the dogs, and took a 2 hour nap on the couch since I didn't sleep well...I had a feeling we were gonna meet this baby girl in a day or two!!! I didn't feel like making dinner, so my in-laws graciously provided dinner for us--as they were hosting a 94th bday party for my M-I-L's mother! (she's in the picture below) WOW! Hubs came home with chicken, potatoes & birthday cake (if that wasn't a sign!) :)
Around 7:30pm I took a shower and felt more moderate contrx. After that I decided to time them while were were winding down for the night. I was pretty tired and ready to rest...again I knew she'd be here in a day or two...
8pm: Called labor and delivery. My contrx were pretty close together, but I also noticed I was 'leaking.' Oh boy! She said since I was a first time mom she would have recommended I wait, but the mention of leaking fluid made her insist we come in and get checked. We had our bags packed and ready to go...and my friend nicole was on puppy duty when we needed her, so if necc. she'd come get the dogs in the morning and take them to the pup sitter...
830pm: Test indicates it indeed is amniotic fluid---time to admit us!!!!!!!!! CUE PANIC MODE! (kidding-we were actually very calm!)
10pm: Got the Epidural. Enough Said....:)
11pm: So bizaree to see the contrx on the monitor and not feel them at all. I felt great-my legs felt tingly like they were asleep, but not too bad. The only downside was the periodic SHAKES! Oh my those sucked.
MONDAY DECEMBER 19th 2011
1:30am: it's Officially Vivian's BIRTHday! DECEMBER 19th 2011. Was checked and was 4cm and 80% effaced. So far no intervention (pitocin or cervidel) which I was so thrilled about! I tried resting but as you can imagine it was so hard!
2:45am: 5cm and Vivi had decended considerably!
3:30am: 6cm and 0 Station!
4:45am: 8cm
5:50am: COMPLETE! Ready to push, just waiting on doctor. Go figure, since it was technically still the weekend, we had the on-call doc, who was NOT my doctor. (BUT!! he ended up being AMAZING, and we were thrilled with him!)

7:15am: SHE'S HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 1 hour of pushing! 7lbs 14ounces 19 inches long. She's got a head of hair, light eyes, she's Beautiful! Vivi was placed on my chest and I was just in AWE of what just happened! Hubs was amazing. He was holding my right leg and coaching me the WHOLE time-and he cut the cord! Also, sounds crazy, but they had a mirror, so I saw everything! It really helped with the pushing, to actually SEE progress! Everything went so amazingly well, I couldn't believe it! I was utterly exhausted! Pushing was so. freaking. HARD!! Granted, I didn't "FEEL" it, but the action of pushing I cannot compare to anything...It took so much out of me. Amazing what the female body is capable of!
I can't believe my baby is 3 weeks old tomorrow. We are doing so well. (Thanks for the wonderful comments, by the way!)
My body is feeling good too. I'm still sore after long walks and don't plan on doing much more than that anytime soon. My midback is crazy sore from nursing, so yoga stretching really helps with that. Here's my tummy 3 weeks post pregnancy. I did end up with a couple stretch marks on the lower part of my belly, which hopefully will fade away...if not, honestly who care!!! :) Until next time.....
The last two weeks have been so amazing and such a blur at the same time! Vivi is a great baby! She nurses every 2.5-3.5 hours and last night she even went 4.5 hours! Wow! It's crazy how much she has changed already in the last 14 days. We've all had many firsts: 1st bath, 1st walk in the moby (which I LOVE!!!), 1st diaper blow-out, 1st time being peed & pooped on....and on and on! I feel like I've been a mom for a long time now! I feel so comfortable with her and am learning her distinctive sounds, coos and cries! The dogs have adapted very well, after a rough first night, they're doing great! My mom goes home Wed. so I will officially have to start cooking and cleaning again. Words cannot express how incredibly helpful she has been!!! She will be missed tremendously, but I look forward to developing a good system on my own!
Here are some pix from the last 2 weeks-including my last belly shot @ 40 weeks + 2 days. My next post will include her birth story. (So i can have a record of it.)
LOVE
LOVE!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-535950025829158855.post-70945659373615113752011-12-09T21:52:00.000-08:002011-12-09T21:54:06.538-08:0039 Weeks! AND MY NIECES WERE BORN!Talk about major baby envy here!!!!!!!! My beautiful twin nieces Ruby Anastasia & Madelyn Brooke were born on Dec. 7th! GLORY TO GOD! I'll post pix when I get some good ones! THe girls and my sis are doing very well and go home tomorrow! I CANNOT wait to meet them when we travel home this spring!!!
In other news, I'm still preggers!!!!!! I say this to everyone who keeps checking in...but I'm still feeling really good! My dr. appt. yesterday indicated my body is progressing (YAY!) and it really could be any time now!!! Im about to keel over with excitement!!! I don't really do much now-a-days....I've pretty much done all my projects so I've been resting a ton. I try and bundle up to take the westies for a walk. We've been going about every other day for 25-30 mins. Which is funny because the same walk used to take only 20 mins. I used to walk a much quicker pace! :)
I really find it hard to focus on anything. Especially with my nieces being born, and my good friend had her baby boy on tuesday as well! It's like the calm before the "storm" with said storm being the most amazing experience I've NEVER had! :)My doctor did mention she's on call this weekend, so maybe I'd be seeing her! I like that foreshadowing potential! :)
Alright, that's it for now! Perhaps the next post will be introducing my lil Bambina Vivian!
Lots of love~
